
Job Description
Role purpose:
Primary owner of sales and collections in the assigned division. Focus on demand generation activities with farmers for revenue growth in the sales region. Lead team of Territory Managers and plan, execute, and supervise demand generation activities to drive sales. Achieve volume targets and ensure timely accomplishment of collection and sales planning targets through efficient team management. Ensure optimal operational deliveries and focus on grower value propositions supported by marketing promotional activities.
Accountabilities:
- Business accountability at the sales region level
- Build and execute sales plans to deliver targets for assigned geography
- Execute growth plans to increase market share and lead expansion
- Ensure optimal team availability to deliver business aspirations
- Support Division Managers in improving profitability through better forecasting
- Drive channel engagement and execute Go-To-Market strategies
- Ensure demand generation through field demonstrations and farm days
- Manage relationships with cross-functional teams (finance, supply, HR, marketing)

Qualifications
Knowledge, experience & capabilities:
- Agricultural industry experience
- Agriculture Graduate / Post Graduate degree
- Understanding of farmer behavior and agribusiness trends
- Knowledge of distribution channels and market dynamics
- Sales and marketing principles expertise
- Local language proficiency
Critical experience:
- 8-10 years of proven track record in frontline sales
- Demonstrated leadership skills and team management experience
- Consistent track record of being an effective team player and leader
- Strong ability to understand customer needs and business drivers
Academic Qualification:
Graduate / Postgraduate in Agriculture or related field
